What is Brizen?
As depicted in the music video, Brizen is a state of mind – a kind of “brain prison” – where one’s singular voice echoes back on itself in ever-building waves. Needing to describe the negative feelings that arise from spending too much time being stuck in your own head, it’s a word COMMENTARYY front-man Matthew C. Kelly came up with in his youth.
The debut album, Too Wise, documents his attempt to process his life’s failures for some kind of redemption, ultimately finding it in the noble pursuit of art. COMMENTARYY is music:
for the alienated and those who struggle in relationships,
for those who walk alone, entertained most by their own internal monologue.
